Lent is Soon

Categories: Everything, Music

Well, now. It’s that time of the year. Lent begins this wednesday with Ash Wednesday (and the day before that would be Mardi Gras). In CCD today, I decided on three things to give up during the season: chocolate, laser tag, and DDR. Yeah, sounds hard, doesn’t it? I’ll make it though. =)

When I came home, I found in my emails that i had been accepted for Audiostreet.net (the new CNet version of mp3.com since mp3.com was bought and taken down by CNet) beta testing, and I had been selected as one of twenty-five individuals that get a free lifetime platinum account: unlimited song uploads, etc. =) So Stephenox will have a new, permanent home.

Also, we played mahjong with my grandmother earlier tonight. I got the biggest points possible in a win. Hehe. I had all the same suit– they were all characters. Just that plus the fact that I picked up my winning piece (ji moh: “self touch”) to win was the max, but aside from that it looked even better– they were all straights. And I had an array of straights of the characters like this: 1 2 3, 4 5 6, 7 8 9. Yes, it did look good, very good. ^^;;

Now without further ado,

  • You might want to know what I’m listening to.. it’s my latest song (not that it’s that new). Stephenox - The Art of Melody

Macroz.Net v5

Here we go! I put up a new blog, as you can see. I won’t be using the old blog on my webserver downstairs, and I am now having this hosted on 1and1. I took it down originally because while I was playing WarCraft III, the internet suddenly got really laggy and died– my server had been virus’d somehow, so it was sending out so much traffic, that it prevented anyone on the network from doing anything. This was not the first time it had been.. “virus’d,” so I decided maybe I should have the site hosted somewhere else. Well, 1and1 was all good, and I had signed up for the free three years while it was open, so here I am.

Thursday-Saturday was Braveart at school. Most of you probably don’t know what Braveart is. Well, it’s a few days set aside in the school year dedicated to artsy things. On Thursday, we went to art museums. Friday, we had workshops. Argentinian Tango was fun, and so was Photoshop. =) Today (at night) we had Coffeehouse, which is a performance of arts and the culmination of Braveart. Our band played Where Did the Bombs Go? and I actually got a part in it this time. Oh, and I need to buy a new keyboard (now that I have enough money).

Meanwhile, Daniel finally set up his blog hosted on 1and1 as well.

Oh, and look! A dolphin in a mech suit! An Unreal Tournament 2003 model. http://www.ut2k3.fr/modeles.php?t=13309 Courtesy of Jonathan.
