Well, there are some things to talk about, now that I haven’t blogged anything for a week.
Let’s start with the latest thing. Keep in mind that Google Mail, at the time, is in the beta testing stage, so as of now it’s invite-only… Well, last night Dalamar/Cam from GFF said in #gfchat irc.xelium.net that he had twelve extra invites for gmail (Google Mail), and so I asked and got one. =) Well, it’s pretty cool. 1000 MB really isn’t that bad. ;-) The interface is a lot thinner/smoother/slicker than the Yahoo Mail interface. The only ads are text-only Google ads using its AdSense script thing which automatically scans through your emails and gives you ads based on what you talk about. I don’t mind this– it’s not a privacy issue at all. I read the privacy statement and it clearly says that it’s just a program and that Google employees will be kept from reading emails, etc. Audioscrobbler uses the same AdSense (I believe) to display Google text ads based on what you listen to. I listen to trance, and my audioscrobbler stats page has a few ads on the side involving DJ equipment and trance vinyl… So really, the few google ads that will be displayed aren’t an issue. It’s a lot less cluttered than Yahoo. …and one of the cool things about this, is you finally get to have a chance at getting that email name you always wanted. If you want to drop an email for me, just send one to the macro (at)) gmail ((dot) com where you replace the obvious with the obvious and take out the spaces… and if I didn’t type it like that, I would get spammed by the bots. >_>
Next thing. I took a picture of the top of the St. Paul church on Sunday because I felt it was photo-worthy + I happened to have my camera with me. I did not, however, take a picture of the Eismann yet…

Hmm, what else… Well, we haven’t gone to EscapĂ© this week yet, but we’re still going some time…
