GMMS, and the end of November

You wouldn’t understand the meaning of GMMS unless you’re in my CCD class, but… GoYar Mubar Miga Sticker

Yeah. It was the starting phrase of the telephone game we played, but of course, after the first person the phrase was completely changed, and it underwent a few more major changes before becoming something like “something overalls” at the end.

Anyway, today is November 30, and that means we’re about to take a deep plunge into the last month of the year, December. This means teachers at school will give us more homework and studying than usual in order to catch up with their own syllabi. This also means in two weeks, we will be taking semester finals, followed by a couple weeks of break. So there we have it, two weeks of a race through school into a week of finals, two weeks of Christmas break, and another semester of school after that! Well, I look forward to Christmas!

As for movies, I did say Gladiator, The Incredibles, and Pirates of the Caribbean were my most top favorite movies, but those are only under the category of American movies, because Fat Choi Spirit, God of Cookery, and Shaolin Soccer are probably my top favorite Chinese movies, and some are better or worse than my favorite American movies.

I better hurry up with homework!

Thanksgiving Break, 2004

Categories: Anime, Culture, Everything, Life, Tech

Thanksgiving break is fun! It’s a small preview of Christmas break that comes so soon in only a month. The semester is almost over… Well, happy late Thanksgiving! I had lots of good food and my share of fun. I didn’t do well in the Turkey Trot this year, though. Hope everyone enjoyed their post-Thanksgiving shopping trips.

I started a new CSS-concentrated layout here on Wednesday, which I finished Friday afternoon or so. I’ve been meaning to get it done but have only found time this break. Maybe you are enjoying faster load times. One problem with my CSS is that I can’t figure out how to stretch the left bottom-frame column’s borders all the way down to match that of the right bottom-frame column when the left column is shorter than the right (maybe on a single post view). When the right column is shorter than the left (for example, the main page), there isn’t a problem because the border is on the left column. If you know anything, help me! It seems pretty impossible to me.

Friday night, Daniel, Michael, and I watched The Incredibles, and it was a good movie. It was fun, interesting, and creative. At times things were predictable, but they were enjoyable anyway! Gladiator is still my favorite movie, but maybe this movie dethroned Pirates of the Carribean’s place as my second favorite… or perhaps they are tied as second.

Daniel needs to catch up with One Piece!

Really?

More Unposted Beijing Photos

Wahaha

I took this picture in Beijing. For those of you can’t read the name of the restaurant in the picture above, the first three characters sounded out are “Wahaha!” The English name of the restaurant is officially “Peking Wahaha.”

Where's Stephen?

Where’s Stephen? See if you can find me. This was taken within the Forbidden City in Beijing.

Aiya!

Oh, and I conjugated “wo shuo aiya” in three persons in Photoshop. o_O Happy birthday, Daniel!
