I’d like to make a concise post on this blog in congratulation of Reuben’s finally announced decision to enter seminary at the end of August (on my birthday!). So…

There is no better protagonist than Luffy. Episode 154 of One Piece was released last night, and it wasn’t a particularly suspenseful episode, but it was cool and interesting. I’ve really liked all the recent episodes since 148. Here are a couple screenshots from the past two episodes.

Besides One Piece, I think Daniel has also successfully gotten me into Bleach now. Bleach has a very interesting story, but at the same time, it’s really weird. (I could also say One Piece is weird, but these are two different “kinds of weird”. )

Anyway, One Piece is still my favorite. It never ceases to be full of creative surprises (like the Southbird!). There’s no doubt Bleach is creative too, but not to the same weird extent One Piece is. Bleach sometimes makes me think, “Oh, I could just imagine the RPG battle windows popping up here,” or “This scene reminds me of a Final Fantasy cutscene.” I never think that way when I watch One Piece. But it doesn’t matter which one is better because I’ll just watch both of them.
