Church Dedication
Our church has come a long way from when I went to a weekly Chinese mass in Richardson in first or second grade.
As some of you may recall, our Chinese Catholic church moved to a new building and piece of land about a month and a half ago. Today we finally had our dedication mass. The bishop of the Diocese of Dallas, Bishop Grahmann, was the main celebrant, and along with him were the auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of San Francisco (Bishop Wang, the first bishop of Asian ancestry appointed in the United States) and about seven other priests. I was singing in the choir section, so I got to sit down, but almost everyone from our church was standing. All the seats were taken up by guests.
About a hundred people from the Ascension Chinese Church in Houston visited. I’d really like to thank them (you?) for coming to see us. It was certainly a very big day in our church’s history, and I’m extremely glad they (you?) could be a part of it.
Here are some pictures. George took a lot of other cool pictures, and maybe later I’ll be able to put more up. [Edit: You can find the ones he sent me at the JFL album page for the dedication mass.]

Bye, Houston! Nice to have you guys around. It was lots of fun! See you soon!
